Abstract Text: An interesting career path from graduate student focused in environmental analysis, to postdoctoral researcher at a national lab, to application chemist at a major instrument company, and finally to academics will be described. Benefits to this progression will be highlighted and connected to the the presenter's current research in cultural heritage analysis. Recent projects will be discussed.
